From Prague, Czechoslovakia, there comes a remarkable book written in German, under the title Homosexuality in the Male. The author, Kurt Freund, Dr Sc, is well known in the international medical literature. This scientific work is based on deep knowledge and understanding of the theme with which Dr. Freund has occupied himself for many years. A long and thorough study of 222 male homosexuals (who from various motives had come for help to the psychiatric clinic of the Karl University) was made and compared to an equal number of male heterosexuals. Dr. Freund had a competent staff of collaborators and only this fact made the time-consuming and detailed clinical work possible.
