"This volume grew out of a symposium on the Body Percept held at the XVII International Congress of Psychology in Washington, D. C., on August 23, 1963. Papers were presented by Drs. Critchley, Fisher and Cleveland, Witkin, Wapner and Werner; Dr. de Ajuriaguerra served as discussant."
It would be impossible, in this review, to give critical attention to each of the papers presented. The content of these papers is well known, through previous publications of their authors. The advantage I found, in reading them, was that they said substantially all that the various authors had previously said, and this was done in concise, clear, direct form. On that score alone, this book is worth reading. However the main focus of this review will be on Dr. de Ajuriaguerra's discussion of the papers, which is chapt VI of the present volume.
