Love, Sex and the Teenager is written for the teen-ager and his parents. Its purpose is to explain, in simple language, the basic psychological facts about love and sexuality. Dr. Lorand concentrates upon the unconscious sources of adolescent feelings and behavior. The book is divided into three sections. The first section contains an overview of the theoretical basis for the latter discussions. The second section deals with the application of the theory to the actual social and sexual life of the teen-ager. The third section is written primarily for the parents and offers some practical suggestions to reduce possible friction between the generations.

It is my impression that Dr. Lorand has succeeded in writing a down to earth and helpful book about some very difficult problems besetting the adolescent and those close to him. Whether the book will be read by teen-agers is quite another . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
