In one of its periodic revivals, the attack on crime at all levels is again very much in the national and international spotlight. We have a new President's Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Justice, and we are told through the usual media of communication that the syndicate and its multitude of criminal operations are on the way out. Statistical studies, however, indicate that the incidence of psychopathic disorders is greater than ever, to an extent that cannot be explained only on the basis of population increase or the fact that shortly over 50% of the population will be under 25 years of age.

Psychopathic Disorders and their Assessment is a timely testament to the work that is being carried on by the psychiatrist and those behavioral scientists who are contributing their share to the forces committed to the attack.
