This book is a compilation of nine speeches presented at monthly intervals at the North Shore Hospital at Winnetka, Ill., of which Dr. Samuel Liebman is medical director. He is certainly to be commended on collecting a large number of authorities on each subject discussed at his hospital, the present volume being the fifth of such collections.

Dr. Meerloo discusses the development of the family in the technical age and indicates the difficulties resulting from technical invasions, by invasions of psychological concepts, and by the invasion of confusing semantics of love, the so-called process of glamorizing. Lucie
