THIS is a preliminary report of a study initiated in May 1968, to follow-up adolescents hospitalized at the Institute for Psychosomatic and Psychiatric Research and Training (P&PI) from Jan 1, 1958 to Jan 1, 1968.

The objectives of the study are: (1) To describe the adolescent population and its hospital courses. (2) To extract variables which may be correlated with the hospital course and functioning upon follow-up. (3) To determine what has happened to former adolescent patients and the status of their current functioning.
