THIS is a preliminary report of a study initiated in May 1968, to follow-up adolescents hospitalized at the Institute for Psychosomatic and Psychiatric Research and Training (P&PI) from Jan 1, 1958 to Jan 1, 1968.
The objectives of the study are: (1) To describe the adolescent population and its hospital courses. (2) To extract variables which may be correlated with the hospital course and functioning upon follow-up. (3) To determine what has happened to former adolescent patients and the status of their current functioning. (5) To get some idea of their reaction to and their utilization of the hospital and the adolescent program.
