A few letters to the editor will be published monthly if they provide significant news or clarifications of general interest to our readers. They should be limited to 750 words and six references. Only brief tabulations of data will be accepted as illustrative material. Readers are advised that in view of The Copyright Revision Act of 1976, all letters submitted for publication must contain the following wording: "In consideration of the AMA taking action in reviewing and editing my submission, the author(s) undersigned hereby transfers, assigns, or otherwise conveys all copyright ownership to the AMA in the event that such work is published by the AMA.
