This book is indeed a welcome addition. It is a work which is open to everyone to understand. It is written for the adolescent who is caught in the struggles for survival in our complex modern society. It attempts to make some sense of it all and, as the author says, "focuses on the psychological aspects of living."

The book is divided into twenty chapters. They deal with the interview situation and its importance in our society, showing what one can learn from one's behavior and from others' responses to it. It describes the various manifestations of anxiety which are aroused in the interview: avoidance, suppression, substitution, and anger. The book has a few chapters which are devoted to the meaning of the various psychological tests, such as I.Q. and projective tests.
